    wd-45 brake rod

    My left brake rod is snapped off inside the housing. Looking down from the brake inspection hole, it is not visible, is there an easy fix , or does the diff. housing need to be disasembled?

    Is there any special hyd. or gear oil that is recommended for wd -45. Would anyone recommend slick 50 in the engine to add a little extra H.P. or would synthetic work just as good?

    I'll take the top off again and inspect it when I get Allis home, but for now I'll leave her in neutral and winch her on the trailer. --- thanks guys.

    Allis WD-45 rough engine

    Sounds like a vacum leak at low rpm, and when the gov. engages the vacum leak is overcome.

    wd-45 locked trans

    My wd 45 trans seems to be locking into gear even when the engine is shut off. I pulled the top off and all 3 forks and gears look fine , but the ball on the shifter will move up and down quite a bit ?

    1938 WC NO SPARK!!

    Check for corrosion in the cap and plug wire ends , I've had aluminun caps and wire ends that corrode real bad as opposed to brass that very seldom need cleaning.

    It's a wd -45 since I run the serial # and it was built in late 55 and he shifter is curvered. It seems to lock in gear and that's why I took off the top.     Hi Mark, I think that WC would be a good parts tractor if you can find another one that is complete. I just bought my first wd-45 for $1000.00 in a snow bank, and I started it up yesterday on the first cank.She runs perfect and I only see heat not smoke from the muffler.

    wd-45 tight trans.

    My wd-45 is hard to get in and out of gear , so I removed the top and all 3 forks look fine and so do the gears . Do I need to ride the clutch a little or disengage the P.T.O.? . I don't know much about the tractor since I just bought it and don't have a manual.

    Your right about 4 caps , my guess is the guy that give it to me didn't know the voltage either. Thanks for the info.
