Farmall F20 and Farmall H axle size the same?

I happen to stumble upon a Farmall F20 thats ready for the scrap heap. I am wondering if the steel wheels from it will fit on a farmall H? I want to put the wheels off this F20 on my 1944 H.

Cub Cadet 7264 Compact very lazy hydrostatic

Good morning all, I recently picked up a 2004 Cub Cadet 7264 compact tractor. It has a bucket loader on the front and a backhoe on the back. Its in good shape, runs good and the hydraulics for the implements work fine. The only issue is the hydrostatic is very lazy. Most of the pedal doesnt...

    Pressed steel on Super M

Hi. I am looking to ditch my rear cast and go with pressed steel and hubs on my 1953 Farmall Super M. Any pointers on a source for that? I slightly recall that pressed steel and 9 bolt hubs off another tractor fits but I dont remember what make/model that is from. Thanks

    Leaky loader cylinders

Many moons ago I acquired an IH 300 utility with a loader on it. I have since gotten rid of that tractor and adapted the loaded to work on my 1950 H and is powered by the belly pump. It works well for what I need. The cylinders have started to leak and I want to replace the seals in them. I...

    Super M clutch

My 53 Super M is split and the clutch is out. But now there is a bit of mystery here. The clutch disk looks very usable. Its about .360" thick. I don't know what the spec is for clutch disk thickness, but this seems good. The flywheel step is about 1.406". The issue at hand is the clutch...

    Farmall SM clutch replacement

My 1953 Farmall Super M clutch is getting weak. Trying to get a load moving in 3rd is difficult and just yesterday the clutch didn't get the load moving and the engine didn't stall. To me, even starting in 3rd gear, the clutch should be able to dog the motor down to stalling, or get the load...

    53 SM is fast

I was at a stone boat pull yesterday. Since I have been pulling with it, I have gotten random comments from people asking which gear I was pulling in. When I say 1st gear, I get "really? That was kind of fast". Another guy was there with a 1952 SM. He was running 16.9/38 rears and they appeared...

    Farmall H steel wheels

I know its a bit of a long shot, but if there is anyone around the new England area that's interested in selling H steel wheels, let me know here. Thanks.

    Continued mag trouble

MY 1944 H has a Wico XHD magneto. It doesn't run right. When its running, it is only getting spark on cylinder 1 and intermittently on 2 with nothing on cylinders 3 and 4. If I unplug #1, it will then fire normally on cylinders 2,3 and 4. I've cleaned up the cap. Rotor looks good. Adjusted the...

    Magneto issue

I have a Wico magneto on my 44 H. Its getting spark to #1 and #2. But not #3 or #4. However, when I unplug #1, it fires strong on #2, #3, and #4. Possible weak coil? Visually, the points appear to be fine.

    1944 H weight reduction plan

I have a 1944 H I inherited from family a year ago. Some of you know that, and some of you know I am planning on pulling 3500# class with it. I know this has probably been discussed before, but I am interested in any ideas for weight reduction. I managed to pick up a Wico magneto for it. For...

    Haverhill NH pull

Anyone on this forum going to the North Haverhill fair pull? If so, perhaps you could clarify rule #10 "No upper link or similar bracing of standard drawbar, no slipper - uppers" The way I interpret this, I would have to take my drawbar bracing off which means that it would go straight to...

In search for mag for H

I have a 1944 Farmall H. I acquired a distributor for it but now I want to go to a magneto. I'm interested in buying a mag from someone, or trading my distributor for it, or negotiating something in between. The distributor will need a new cap and rotor and a set of points wouldn't be a bad...

    Farmall C ignition mystery

My Farmall C has 3 1/8" stepped head pistons and a Farmall 140 head. Has good compression across all 4 cylinders, very even as well, within 1-2 PSI of each other. I put a new distributor on it last spring, about 12 months ago. It seemed to run good last year. Just about a month ago I went to...

    Throttle shaft on SM

The throttle shaft between my governor and carb on my SM doesn't really turn easy. I took it off and tried cleaning it with PB blaster but I'd like to disassemble it completely. How do I get the shaft out of the housing? It looks like the end that connects to the vertical rod is pressed on.

    Steering shaft removal SM

I am removing my power steering on my Super M. I already have another shaft coming with the worm gear on it, with the bearing support and bracket. Is there anything special to know? I have never taken that stuff apart before. Not the best picture but here is the tractor with the char-lynn unit...

    Super M gas tank mount

I am removing my live hydraulics for pulling, as some already know. Will the rear gas tank support off an M work in place of the live hydraulic reservoir?

    Remove SM live hyds.

I am removing my Super M's live hydraulics for pulling. I am keeping all the stuff in case the tractor returns to farm duty. From what I can tell, I only need this: http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Farmall-Super-M_Distributor-Drive-Housing_363749R91.html And this...

    Farmall SM parts needed

My 1953 Super M is going to be primarily used at tractor pulls. With that said, I want to take the live hydraulics off. It also has the Char-Lynn power steering and I want to take that off as well. From what I know, I need to acquire a live hydraulic delete housing to properly mount my...

    1964 IH Cub lo boy

I recently picked up this Cub lo boy. The husband passed away so the widow just wants his crap gone. $400. ITs been sitting for years, and that was obvious because it was a little sunk in the mud. And the ground wasn't even soft. So I got it home. Checked the oil, it was low. So I topped it off...
