1964 MF 35. Neutral safety switch?

Does this model have a neutral safety starting switch? My dad and I were bleeding the injection system and his started in gear, almost causing a catastrophe for me. I have looked all over the transmission and did not see a plug or switch for wires. If so, can you all send me some pictures of the location or ideas?

Yes, it's on top of the transmission just ahead of the steering box. Hi/Lo/start lever must be in the center to close the switch to engage starter. Tractor will not
start in gear if switch is working right, sounds like yours has been bypassed.

location would be similar
