This is perhaps going to sound like a stupid
question, but nevertheless I am stumped. On my
1950 6V 8N (side-mount distributor), I don't seem
to have any cranking power. I have a brand new
Interstate 6V battery (purchased on 8/8/12). After
having this problem, I took the battery back to
the place of purchase and had it tested. It tested
just fine and it was fully charged. I cleaned the
posts and cables and still have the problem. I do
not seem to be able to find any loose connections.
After putting the battery back in, it rolled the
tractor over for maybe 10 seconds (very slowly and
not enough 'umph' to start it) and then did not
have enough power to turn it at all. I am looking
for suggestions.
