He updated them to a 730 style tip along with other mods.He rebuilt the pumps and made them capable of supplying...

    JD 820/830 Governor

    I think you are doing the right thing getting the govenor to stay "with" the engine .Roger Marlin says that is key to the 2 cyl diesels performing the best.

    B-544 [leaded phosphur bronze] ,532,534,545 are similar. I read this is what KB engines used............ What bore are your pistons? comp height?

    pulling drawbar?

    I was always impressed with 340's pulling ability,they never seem to give up.kinda ratchet themselves down the track.Shortest drawbar length with the front weights sticking forward as far as possible or allowable. Motor cubes are low as u already know.See what else fits in them

    Still gathering parts just had a man from ind. give me dimensions for sleeves he bought from GMS so I can eliminate the guess work. The rods are the next issue can't afford custom built. may go with an IH dt466 crank.

    I believe in them ,can't quite explain why it works.My farmer crowbar thinking made me put it all on the front and back.I was either spinning out or stnding the front up.I watched the Colton family and they never ran anything up front on a JD G.I followed there example with much better results...
