    560 mystery update

Update: A few days ago I posted about how my newly acquired non running 560 backfired a few times then became stuck when attempting to start. The starter deadheaded with the flywheel stuck. I had previously did all the prep that was suggested except the starter to flywheel possibility of...

    560 mystery

Bought a non-running 1961 560 gas, got it unstuck, checked the valves to see if they were free, none seemed to be stuck (some were probably partially stuck though after thinking about it) - cranked it a few times with the starter just to see if it would fire. Got 3-4 backfires then it locked...

    560 plug

Iv'e been working on a 1961 non running 560 gas, just started to test the radiator for leaks after filling it up. It poured coolant out what appears to be a missing plug on top of the cylinder head on the card side. Part number 109544R1 may be the part I need but, can anyone verify this is...

    560 parts

Does anyone have 560 gas parts - both right side lower white colored tin and the back plate under the dash that goes down to the transmission cover. Other parts will probably be noticed/needed. Thanks.

    F30 running hot problem found

Posted a question a few days ago about my F30 running hot. The cause was..........someone had intentionally blocked off both the radiator elbow and elbow to water manifold connection with a solid gasket ( no thermostat found). No water could possibly circulate with it being completely closed...

    F30 running hot

I bought a non running 1936 F30 not to long ago. Got it running the other day and the head got really hot - smoking hot - the new temperature gauge was pegged to the hot side, returned to cold later on that day. The water in the radiator was cold even though the head was HOT, the block was...

    Jubilee hydraulic FIXED!

Finally got the hydraulics working properly after quite a few possible solutions - it was the back pressure valve. Mine was frozen/stuck solid! I found a good used one online very cheap. The timing couldn't have worked out better.

    Jubilee back pressure valve question

Iv'e posted several times about my Jubilee hydraulic problems. I just removed the back pressure valve, I can't get the spring inside the body to move at all from either end. The threaded part is still attached to the vale. Should you be able to push or move anything from one end or the other...

    Jubilee hydraulic problem - still

Iv'e posted in the recent past about my 1953 Jubilee hydraulic problems. Here's a recap from what Iv'e done and where I'm at: The 3 point always bobbed a little and dropped down after shutting off in the up position - it's did it for years, Iv'e owned it for 29 years. Never an issue really for...

    4010 throttle

I have a 4010 that won't throttle up past 1500 rpm's. It was on the blink and then just quit going full throttle. The throttle lever pulls back all the way with the knob on the end going in/out for idling. I manually pushed the governor linkage to see if it would rev higher, it did. Anyone have...

    Jubilee hydraulic fluid

I changed hydraulic fluid on my Jubilee and now there is foam in it. I don't see why this fluid pictured wouldn't work - any reason? It is compatible with the original requirement.

    Hydraulic - JMOR, Shaun, etc.

The hydraulic fluid is shooting out the other end of the safety relief valve bad on my Jubilee. I did find the valve finger loose and assumed this was the issue. I tightened it but didn't fix the leak. Just got a new relief/safety valve today. Question: do I leave the check ball in or take it...

    Another update

After taking the top cover off the Jubilee again I found the safety relief valve finger loose - somehow over the years it had backed out making it leak. I tightened it up, reinstalled and no leak, however.... the hydraulic oil is foamy. The IT manual says it may be due to the back pressure tube...

    Jubilee hydraulic update

Yesterday I posted a question about a Jubilee back pressure gasket - I made one that fits perfect with no leak. Now it looks like another valve is leaking. According to my FO-19 IT manual, the check or safety valve is faulty. I intend to order a safety valve, part number NAA984F (8N638 for the...

    Jubilee hydraulic problem

I've got a 1953 Jubilee with a leaking back pressure valve, an inspection mirror clearly shows it spraying all over the place when running. There are no other leaking valves anywhere. I previously took the top cover off and replaced the piston rubber O ring and leather washer just a couple days...

    F30 throttle linkeage

I bought a 1936 Farmall F30 parts tractor not to long ago, mainly for the others I have. The main rod on top of the hood that controls the spark advance as it should, also has a control rod on the end that goes to the carburetor, governor tube. I assume the lever in front of the steering wheel...

    F20 piston Question

I bought a non running 35' F20. I noticed all 4 pistons had a single 1/8" diameter or so divot/hole in the same spot/location when looking through the spark plug hole - opposite side/ nowhere near the spark plug. I took a small piece of wire to see if any completely went through the piston, they...

    F20 manafold size

I have two Farmall F20's, a 1935 and a 1938 with 2 different exhaust pipe sizes. One has a 2" pipe and the other (1938) is 2-1/2". The 35' pipe is welded in - ususal poor cast weld job - could break it loose without to much trouble with the 38' having a threaded pipe - nice and tight. Both have...
