    Could anyone tell me what size rod bearings I need, I measured the journal and came up with 2.301 inches and the crank measured at 2.499 I don't know if it would be standard bearings or not appreciate your feedback thanks Rick

    8N ford tractor transmission?

    I finally got my 8n running, I took it outside for a trial run I was going through the gears and all the gears worked, but in 2nd gear it makes a horrible clunking sound thinking something was going to break it was really loud, but all the other gears worked fine Any ideas what it might be?
